Detox Waters

The arrival of summer always brings the desire to improve and eat better. In addition to nutrition, a fundamental help comes from water which not only prevents dehydration during hot days but can become a real ingredient for healthy and homemade recipes.
By now we all know the so-called detox water. They are fruit-flavored waters, refreshing drinks rich in vitamins that are also an excellent natural remedy to contribute to the purification of the organism. They entice us to drink more, "giving flavor" to water, thus avoiding packaged drinks and juices that are full of sugars.

Detox Water Functions

Detox waters have main and additional functions that distinguish them from classic water thanks to their composition:
- quen and refresh
- maintain a good state of hydration of the organism
- vitamin action
- depurative action (detox)

Types and Recipes Detox Waters

ENERGIZING Detox Water

Strawberry flavoured water

Use ten strawberries and a few lemon cloves in 1 or 2 liters of fresh water. Strawberries are naturally sweet, rich in vitamins and energizing. This detox water is an excellent remedy for exhaustion due to high temperatures. Serve after 12-24 hours in the refrigerator

Moisturizing Detox Water

Water flavored with raspberries, kiwis and peaches

In 1 or 1.5 liters of water we cut a kiwi, peach or apricot, ten raspberries. This water is beneficial and moisturizing for the skin.

DIURESIS Detox Water

Water flavored with cucumbers, lemon and mint

In 2 liters of water we soak a medium cucumber, a lemon, a handful of mint leaves and a piece of zenzero. Ginger and cucumber promote digestion and diuresis and are also a valid help against cellulite!!

Digestive and disinfectant detox water

In half a liter of water you can leave 2 or 3 slices of organic lemon infused with the addition of a piece of chopped (or centrifuged) fresh ginger from 2 to 24 hours, always in the refrigerator. Otherwise you can prepare a ginger herbal tea, let cool and add lemon juice, lemon slices and ice cubes before serving.

Depurative Detox Water

Watermelon flavoured water

Watermelon is rich in water (90% of its composition) and for this reason helps the organism to purure itself. In a 2-liter jug of water pour a slice of watermelon cut into cubes and a few leaves of mint. Let stand in the refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours before serving.


These are just a few examples with targeted action but you can choose any type of fruit/herbs/spices and combinations according to your tastes.

It is true that the arrival of summer makes us more inclined to get in shape and prepare these homemade recipes but why not use them even in autumn or winter using seasonal fruits and vegetables?

Eating and drinking well to stay fit doesn't have to be the fashion of a moment... must be a way of life!
