In sports everyone speaks of cortisol, the stress hormone or hormone commonly defined as 'catabolic'! What is cortisol? What is it that makes it so feared?

Cortisol is not a demon, his presence is absolutely Physiological as well as that of the inflammation.

Cortisol helps:

- A steady influx of blood sugar (quicker to use than the fatty acids)
- An increase in blood pressure and heart rate
- Central nervous system stimulation to achieve an effect of greater concentration and State of "high alert" (fight or flight).

All positive effects if they occur at the right time, IN acute and if well balanced with other hormones. The problems come when the situation becomes chronic.

Adrenal fatigue, fatigue chronic stress-->, fatigue, insomnia, drowsiness, decreased performance, plateau of weight loss (if necessary)
